The Committee received a briefing on a number of International Agreements, agreed actions on two of the Agreements, and agreed to consider a draft report at a future meeting.
The Committee noted the UK-European Forest Institute Host Country Agreement, and the correspondence between the Welsh Government and the Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee.
The Committee noted the Protocol to the Interbus Agreement concerning the international carriage of passengers by coach and bus, and the Committee agreed to notify the Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee of the Agreement and its implementing legislation.
The Committee noted amendments to the Agreement establishing the African Development Fund, and agreed to notify the Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport and International Relations Committee of the Agreement.
The following Agreements were also noted by the Committee:
- The UK-Mauritius Agreement concerning the Chagos Archipelago;
- Four individual termination Agreements between the UK and the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovenia and Croatia on Promotion and Protection of Investments; and
- Air Services Agreements (between the UK and Thailand, the UK and Brazil, the UK and Mongolia, the UK and Moldova, and the UK and Tajikistan).
The Committee noted the Written Statement by the UK Government in relation to The Review of the United Kingdom Internal Market Act 2020, and agreed to provide a response to the review.
